I was crushed when version 8 came out and I couldn't finish one song on it due to it's dark GUI and I wanted to yell at the developer as all we wanted was the 32 to 64 bit. Hey Jocker, I understand your frustration man. I wonder if Magix sees how many times I am re-registering it. So, waiting in hope but until then, I will keep re-installing, keep using it. The day any other DAW come out with the same exact GUI (double clicking in explorer, pick-paint), the same simple format as Acid, I will be jumping ship, too. I hope you still come back as I don't want Magix to drop this DAW as this is all I am comfortable with. If I was Magix boss, I would have fired the employee who handled this DAW extremely poorly and thats what I am thinking happened here and we got the short end of the stick. I think Magix made up what they paid to Sony and have Acid thrown aside. I hate to say this but I am seeing the same pattern here as Sony. Avoid midi, MP3 files, magix effects and instruments and things are stable so far. So, I just avoid these new features and use Acid as if it was still version 7 and it will work fine.
#ACID PRO STUDIO PC#
There was a point where I was re-installing Acid each time the PC was restarted up until last week. I tried the laughable morph pads which caused me to re-install Acid. Melodyne and MP3 format have not worked to-date for me and Magix blew me off by saying they have "added" my issues to the log and I never heard back from them. I have learned that its the new bells and whistles that made Acid more unstable.
#ACID PRO STUDIO HOW TO#
I did my own troubleshooting and learned how to avoid crashes and now it seems to be working ok just as long as I don't mess with the "features" they added. Its been a disaster and I noticed, if you complain (which any paying customer would), you get admins/employees/moderators agitate already frustrated customer even more in the forums.
#ACID PRO STUDIO UPGRADE#
I wasted more money and bought the Ableton upgrade only to come back to Acid version 9, still the dark GUI but with more crashes, back to Ableton, then on to Acid version 10, was a little happy that they made GUI light (inverted), but now MP3s won't work, it would crash even more.

Thats all they had to do and work on the bugs that Sony left.

but the job cannot wait, most of us are not 15 years old :) See you later. Back to Cubase and Ableton Live, where is professional support and every problem is solved quickly and on a regular basis.I will keep checking back here and follow the further progress. I have to say goodbye to Acid Pro until further notice.Unfortunately, working with him has become more and more difficult. There is no progress.Almost three years under Magix is a long time and however, it's too long.I appreciate the intentions and work of the developers who have made a lot of progress in modernizing Acid. However, lack of stability spoils this legacy.
